Specialist High Purity Stainless Steel Pipe Fitter and Highly Experienced Orbital Welder Operator.

Our company has committed to significant projects in Melbourne and Brisbane, so we are seeking a Specialist high purity Stainless steel pipe fitter/Welder with experience in Orbital Welding Operation in particular the Orbitalum 180SW Machines with hand welding capabilities from thin wall tubing through to heavy Pressure Pipe Welding to AS4041 Standards in either location (VIC & QLD).
Salary Range: From $85,000 + depending on experience + Superannuation

The role:
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
Operate an Orbital Welder to extremely high standards
Weld to ASME or Pressure pipe to AS4041 standards
Purge weld stainless steel dairy tube to Food Grade Standard
Read and interpret isometric pipe spool drawings
Read and interpret P&IDs
Stainless steel welding to Pharmaceutical standards
Fabricate pipe spools in accordance with Isometric drawings
Required Skills and What you will bring:
Previous experience in a similar role (at least 3 years)
Experience in reading technical drawings
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
An ability to use your own initiative and problem solve
Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable
Willingness to follow relevant OH&S guidelines
Positive Can-do attitude
Work well in a team environment
Current drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle
Current forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
Trade qualification
Industry White card
