We are seeking a passionate, collaborative Business Analyst to drive process improvement and service transformation enabled through our Digital Transformation Program (DTP). The role will initially focus on establishing future state visions for the services and processes in scope of the initiative, later collaborating with our implementation partners and process owners to identify business rules and requirements to enable the configuration of our enabling technology.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure the services and processes in scope of the program meets the needs of our customers and community, are owned by the business, enabling the improvement of both our customers and employee experience.
- Document process maps, service, and process visions to enable timely and effective decision making during the delivery stage of the program.
- Working with our implementation partners and the business define service and process detailed functional and non-functional requirements to inform the configuration of our enabling technology, validating how these needs are being met throughout the program's lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to elicit and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with overarching project objectives and goals.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to business processes, technology configuration, and organizational change, proactively developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for communication between the project team, stakeholders, and implementation partners, ensuring clear and transparent communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct comprehensive impact analysis to assess the implications of proposed changes on existing processes, systems, and organizational structure, providing recommendations for mitigation and adaptation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and innovation within the ERP system and associated business processes.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to ensure that end-users and stakeholders understand the new system functionalities and processes, fostering adoption and proficiency.
- Implement quality assurance measures to validate the accuracy and completeness of configured solutions, conducting thorough testing and validation procedures to ensure alignment with business requirements and standards.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with project timelines, deliverables, and contractual obligations, while also advocating for Council’s interests and priorities.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- Demonstrated experience as a Lead BA, ideally with experience on ERP programs.
- Proficient in the elicitation, analysis, specification and validation of requirements and constraints, and negotiation of trade-offs that are acceptable to key stakeholders and within budgetary, technical, regulatory, and other constraints.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in service demand modelling, analysing impacts to services and formulating a clear understanding for the relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into actional insights.
- Proficient in facilitating workshops, opportunity exploration and issue resolution, understanding and processing user requirements and conducting analysis.
- Proficient in stakeholder engagement and management, creating rapport and representing the transformation program in a trustworthy manner.
- Demonstrated experience in business processes modelling techniques and enabling software applications.
- Proficient in applying information security, knowledge processing, and governance controls, such as recording and reporting, into work practices.
- Experience in applying Business Analysis methodologies, such as BABoK, and the delivery of information technology-enabled services.
