What's the opportunity?

Join our dynamic team at Qoria as a part time Global Payroll Officer, where energy and dedication drive success! We're seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional to play a vital role in our payroll operations, ensuring precise and prompt processing of the company’s payroll in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. If you possess a talent for numbers and a commitment to compliance, you’ll fit right in with our culture of support and integrity. Dive into a role that’s more than just crunching numbers - support Qoria’s commitment to its values and culture by fostering trust and reliability through meticulous payroll management.

Here’s how you’ll do it:

  • Payroll Processing: Preparation and processing of the payrolls for Australia, New Zealand and the United States, including calculating payments, executing payments accurately, and processing journal entries.
  • Payroll Compliance and Legislation Updates: Stay updated on and ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation across different regions (AUS, NZ, US), including tax, superannuation laws, and workers' compensation requirements.
  • Payroll System Management: Maintain and manage employee data within payroll systems, ensuring accuracy in leave accruals, compensation, tax queries, and year-end processes. This includes handling complex payroll operations such as commission calculations and leave payout processing on termination
  • HRIS Management: Accurately input data into the HRI System (BambooHR) in a timely manner, ensuring completion of all onboarding and offboarding tasks, which includes conducting background checks.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate and manage payroll reports, such as leave balance reports, commission reports, superannuation payments and payroll tax, ensuring they are prepared and processed accurately and on time
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and Technology departments to manage payroll-related projects and systems, ensuring smooth operations across departments and adherence to payroll schedules.
  • Communication and Query Resolution: Address and respond to all payroll-related queries from employees and managers, providing clear communication and prompt resolution of issues.
  • Process Improvement: Work with the Global Payroll Director on continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Engage in knowledge transfer activities with payroll officers in other regions (e.g., with the UK Senior Payroll Officer) for cross-training and backup support purposes.
  • Audit and Compliance Testing: Conduct regular audits and compliance testing to ensure all payroll activities are accurate and comply with internal policies and legal requirements.
