ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant within the Finance Department is an integral role in the effective financial management of Mansfield District Hospital. This role provides interdepartmental advice and support to assist with the management and control of the numerous funding streams and finance related matters across MDH. This role will liaise externally with our Salary Packaging provider and Goulburn Valley Health Payroll Department.
This role reports to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services/ Chief Finance Officer.
The key responsibilities of our Accountant include:
maintaining accurate financial records
preparing and uploading end of month accounting entries and adjustments, as part of end of month reporting process
monthly reconciliations of all balance sheets and subsidiary ledgers;
maintaining the asset register for the purposes of depreciation, asset management and capital planning in accordance with legislation, accountability frameworks and the organisations objectives;
