My client in the fleet management industry is looking for a Procurement Consultant to join the team and report to the Procurement Team Leader. This is a permanent full time position based in Sydney CBD offering work from home 2 days a week.
Your role as Procurement Consultant:
Responsible for optimising vehicle discounts and delivering convenience and efficiency to customers
Manage transactional purchasing activities
Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal deals
Collaborate with the procurement team nationally
Continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and optimisation, driving innovation and excellence in procurement practices
Educate and influence our sales team, conduct market research, and identify comparable vehicles
About you
Previous experience in within fleet/vehicle purchasing or procurement
A proactive "can-do" attitude and a drive to initiate and implement change
A strong desire to learn and grow professionally, with aspirations for upward movement within the company
Capable of articulating ideas effectively with strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
