E-Commerce Manager (also known as E-Commerce Performance Manager)
Role Overview
This role is responsible for planning and implementing eCommerce initiatives on platforms/marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, and Google (+others). Utilise your in-depth knowledge in Performance Media/eCommerce and Paid Search, and you will be responsible for implementing best-in-class digital performance campaigns. The role involves the management of both eCommerce content and media initiatives for our clients.
Skills & Experience
• This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification.
• Owns performance process from Activate (Buying & Trafficking) to Convert (Optimisation & Reporting) and works with the eCommerce Director and PGD associate to execute.
• Fluent in the fundamentals of campaign set-up/optimisation and reporting across PPC (Google Ads, Shopping Ads, Amazon Search Console, CitrusAd), paid social (Meta) and programmatic (Amazon DSP) + others.
• Oversees the work of the PGD associate. Communicates with clients on reporting, competitive and creative specs requirements
• Ensures all budget lines of performance campaigns are set up correctly and paced to the goal
• Ensures finance is completed with 100 % accuracy
• Creates a positive relationship with key media/tech partners (e.g. Google, Meta, Cartology, Coles 360, Amazon and eBay + others).
• Forms an effective relationship with the eCommerce Director and works well with other team members
• Files all proformas, MBAs, IOs and media plans.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Intermediate excel and Microsoft office skills are a must
• Intermediate to advanced certification of Google Ads (Paid Search) and Amazon Sponsored Ads. Will undertake Amazon DSP certification within 3 months in the role.
• BCC training Proficient in spot entry, knowledge of correct digital codes to use, and ability to run Expenditure/Invoice reports. Completed Digital Compliance training. Learn how to solve Account Queries within 48 hours of receiving an email notification.
• Contributes to competitive work during new business pitches.
Salary: $90K - $110K package
E-Commerce Director (also known as E-Commerce Performance Director)
Role Overview
The purpose of the Ecommerce Director role is to manage the growing marketplace ecommerce offering at Publicis agencies across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for the strategy and implementation of ecommerce initiatives on platforms/marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, and Google. The role involves management of both ecommerce content and media initiatives for Groupe clients. Reporting to the National Head of Digital & Data/Head of Digital/Head of E Commerce, the role exists to accelerate the growth of ecommerce business. This role will have an opportunity to develop the offering and work across global hubs on best practice implementation of content and media strategies in marketplace ecommerce. There is tremendous opportunity of growth in the role with a hugely exciting and rapidly growing team.
Skills & Output
• Create and implement effective ecommerce campaigns across platforms/marketplaces (specifically Amazon, Google, Facebook, eBay, Citrus + others) that deliver high-quality results.
• Develop audits, scorecards and use data to identify optimisation opportunities, including keyword research, budgeting and make recommendations regarding media and advertising opportunities.
• Develop audits, scorecards and use research and data to improve brand presence, SEO/REO (including detail page optimisation) across ecommerce marketplaces.
• Manage Seller/Vendor Central operations, such as account health checks, pricing strategy recommendations and product reviews analysis.
• Remain across ecommerce industry trends, compile data into client-facing collateral and use the information to adapt existing campaign strategies relevant to each brand.
• Participate in new business opportunities as they pertain to marketplace ecommerce – commercially and strategically.
• Actively engage in the collaboration effort between the Groupe agencies and the Product practice
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in a similar role in Performance Media/eCommerce working across paid search as well as either eRetail platforms like CitrusAd or Amazon + others
• Must have an excellent grasp of Performance Media (planning and buying)
• Must have experience and working knowledge of performance media platforms – From Ad servers to DSPs/Bid Management Platforms, Analytics, Ad Verification Technology and Audience Planning Tools.
• Strong team management and leadership skills. Has proven abilities in mentoring, training and developing high performing teams.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Can confidently present, and construct well-substantiated digital media strategies.
Salary: $110K - $140K package
• All of the above roles require a relevant tertiary qualification with 2 or more years’ experience in a similar role OR a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in lieu of qualification.
