About the Role:
As a Software Engineer at Bytewize, you will be instrumental in researching, analyzing, and evaluating system program needs. Your expertise will help in identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, improving our software, and ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Researching and Analysing System Needs: Conduct thorough research, consultations, and evaluations to understand system program requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identifying Technology Limitations: Recognize deficiencies in existing systems, processes, procedures, and methods, and suggest appropriate solutions to overcome technology limitations.
• Testing and Debugging: Employ established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults in programming languages to ensure software performance meets specifications.
• Programming and Maintenance: Write and maintain program code that meets system requirements, designs, and technical specifications in accordance with accredited quality standards.
• Documentation: Keep technical program, end-user documentation, and operational procedures up to date, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and easily accessible.
• Advisory Role: Provide expert advice, guidance, and recommendations on software design strategies, including financial evaluations, costings, software purchases, and upgrades.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and software development life cycle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a motivated, innovative team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide solutions that meet business requirements.
