FS People require 10 full time Farm Team Leaders to plant, harvest, pack, drive tractors and lead harvest teams and 20 full time Farm Hands/packers to plant, harvest and pack. All positions are based in Werribee South in Victoria.
The roles are expected to start at various times starting from June 2024.
Your day will start between 6am and 7am and you will be required for 8 – 10 hour shifts.
Your ordinary hours will be 38 hours per week and will require Monday to Sunday availability. There will be reasonable additional hours required at times to meet the demands of the job and industry.
You will require physical fitness to endure standing, bending, twisting, turning and lifting up to 10 kgs.
You will work outdoors planting seedlings, cutting, trimming, bunching and packing produce across all seasons, this includes conditions such as rain, cold, mud, sun and heat.
You will also be required to cut, trim and pack produce in an indoor packhouse setting.
You will need good communication skills, reliability and a desire to work in diverse teams.
An adherence to Food Safety Standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations will be paramount.
Eligibility documents to work in Australia will be required.
Please also note the company perform random drug and alcohol testing to keep everybody safe in a high-risk environment. To be employed by the company, you will be required to consent to this testing.
Depending on tasks the pay may be either piece rate or hourly rate. The farm hand/packer roles are classified as a Level 1 ( or 2 depending on experience) under the Horticulture Award 2020. The Farm Team Leader roles are classified as a Level 3 under the Horticulture Award.
Any piece rate arrangements are underpinned by the minimum wage guarantee in the Horticulture Award 2020.
