WHO
Champ Services are seeking Welders/Metal Fabricators for full time roles in Central Queensland.
To be considered for these roles, we are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Trade Qualification - Welder
- Experience on heavy industrial equipment required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Commitment to safe operating procedures
- Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening and a pre-employment medical
WHAT
- Repair of various equipment and/or components, including but not limited to: truck trays, truck bodies, trailers, chutes, vessels, rail
wagons, sugarcane wagons and mining machinery
- Cutting and welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Competent in both flux core and gas welding procedures. Electrode, TIG, and submerged arc may be required on some projects
- Metal arc gauging required
- Versatile experience across heavy industry and light fabrication highly regarded but not essential
- Must be able to work from manuals and drawings
- Comply with EHS policies and procedure and actively participate in review of SWMS and development of JSEA's as required
