BenefitsTask & Responsibilities The Senior Veterinarian position at Consulvet Pty Ltd include the ability to: 1. Conduct simple to complex clinical consultations and surgical procedures independently o Treat all types of domestic animals medically o Prescribe appropriate drugs and analgesics 2. Undertake a complete reproductive examination for breeding o Render obstetric services to animals o Pregnancy determination 3. Manage pre-breeding laboratory sample collection and interpretation o Ability to collect specimen for laboratory testing o Interpret diagnostic imaging including radiography and ultrasound 4. Attend to domestic animals arriving in the clinic in critical condition o Perform emergency services o Treat animals surgically by administering general and local anaesthetic o Dress wounds o Set broken bones and the like 5. Perform minor surgical procedures and attend to medical illnesses and emergencies o Ability to determine abnormal conditions in animals o Conduct physical examination o Laboratory testing 6. Availability to work across a rotating roster Qualification & Experience Essential criteria: Veterinary Degree (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) or equivalent Must have Provisional or Full Registration with AVBC At least 4 years post-grad relevant experience About Company Ballarat Country Vets is a 2.5 years old veterinary practice based in Smythesdale near Ballarat.
