Moggy’s Group of companies specialise in the construction of residential, rural and commercial sheds, termite treatment and installation of prefabricated fibreglass swimming pools. We are currently seeking to employ four qualified and experienced Painting Trades Workers to join our team at the new purpose-built premises in Paget (Mackay) QLD.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
- Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
- Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns
- Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
- Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings
- Safe operation of tools and equipment
- Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel
- Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice
- Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods
Skills & Abilities:
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
- Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field
- Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
