  • Part-time (0.6FTE) 2-year contract position beginning July 1st.
  • As this is a state-wide service travel is required around Melbourne including regional locations. Office based in Ringwood.
  • $41-45.5per hour + Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550    

About the role  
This important role will see you building relationships with and supporting carers, families and the community by providing counselling, relevant resources, planning and organising workshops, facilitating referrals and implementing a person/family centred approach to assess and support their needs.

Who we’re looking for 
To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A broad understanding of the issues experienced by carers caring for a family member with a disability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with people with disabilities and their families.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders within the community.
  • Experience and skill in disability support, intake, assessment, and case coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a brokerage budget, including invoicing, receipting and financial processing as required.
  • Ability to facilitate relevant forums and workshops for carers as and when required.
  • The role may require flexibility in working hours (e.g. late afternoons, evenings or early morning hours & some weekends), and the ability and capacity to travel and stay overnight for up to 1-3 days in Regional Victoria.
  • NDIS knowledge is preferred.
