Job description About the role The role of an Environment Policy Officer is to develop, implement, and monitor policies related to environmental conservation, sustainability, and protection. Key Accountabilities: Provide assistance in the development of timely and accurate mapping and data management advice to facilitate informed decision-making. Review and prepare correspondence regarding data and mapping requests to address community, Executive, and Ministerial inquiries. Conduct or support spatial analysis to identify emerging environmental issues and develop actionable recommendations. Support meetings on policy and project status and contribute to policy development processes. Assist in all aspects of data program management to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Key Challenges: Prioritizing data requests to meet stakeholder needs effectively. Understanding the previous work on the data management program to ensure continuity and effectiveness. Communicating and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders using various communication channels and styles to achieve desired outcomes.
