Senior Strategic Planner

Georges River Council have an opportunity to join their passionate and talented team as a Senior Strategic Planner. The role sits within our Environment & Planning Directorate - the Strategic Planning business unit are responsible for developing policies, strategies and associated planning documentation across all of Council’s major planning functions to facilitate a coordinated approach to long term strategic planning. In this role as Senior Strategic Planner you will lead in the preparation, assessment and management of consultants in respect of work associated with planning proposals, planning instruments, development control plans, plans of management and other relevant Council policies, prepare and assist in the development and implementation of land use plans and programs, and work to mentor and motivate staff.
