As an Occupational Therapist you will:
Provide timely, evidenced based, person centred therapy services to children and adults with a disability within a multi-disciplinary team.
Manage a paediatric and mixed caseload with complex and varied needs, working with customers of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Occupational Therapy profession.
Champion and promote the Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration
Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person centred approaches.
Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
