A well-known NFP is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer for a permanent position. You will be managing a fortnightly pay cycle for up to 300 employees. The office culture pride themselves on being proactive, professional, collaborative and friendly. You will manage the payroll in line with the SCHADS award. It is a permanent opportunity.
Your new role
In this position you will be managing a team responsible for the following duties:


Working and managing payroll along with awards and legislation
Process fortnightly periodic pay cycles for 300 + employees using Micropay
Manage superannuation to reconcile monthly payroll tax and payments, onboarding and statutory obligations
Reconcile payroll payments for external reporting, including disclosures in Financial Statements.
Prepare and reconcile payroll, PAYE, FBT, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, and other statutory payments
Address payroll enquiries from business stakeholders and employees.
Financial reporting
Assist with reconciliation of payroll payments for external reporting, including disclosures in the Financial Statements

What you'll need to succeed

Demonstrated end-to-end Payroll experience in medium/large corporate or professional service environments.
In-depth technical knowledge of Payroll systems, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT, salary sacrificing, superannuation, statutory frameworks, and legislative requirements.
Extensive experience with Payroll systems, including employee self-service, with at least 5 years' payroll experience.
The ability to interpret awards and employment contract provisions and apply them effectively.
