About the role In supporting the NUM, the ANUM provides leadership and direction to Nursing staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost-effective nursing care consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Emergency Department. Some of the key responsibilities of the role are: Is accountable for the delivery of safe clinical practice and professional advice. Identifies, selects, implements and evaluates nursing/midwifery interventions that have less predictable outcomes. Works collaboratively with peers and others to create a positive practice environment that achieves best practice outcomes for consumers of healthcare services. Demonstrates specialised knowledge, experience and advanced clinical skills/competence in Nursing. This role may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive.
