Prestige Truck Bodies is the leading company in manufacturing of truck bodies. We build all traditional rigid body types and in addition we custom design bodies to suit client's needs.
We are looking for a full-time Vehicle Body Builder to be based in Carrum Downs, Victoria.
Tasks and duties include:
• Interpreting drawings, specifications and engineering plans.
• Fabricating sections and components from steel, aluminium, sheet metal, timber, fibreglass and other materials, using cutting, pressing, adhesive and welding equipment.
• Fixing components, frames and parts together using welding techniques, adhesives, rivets, screws and bolts, to construct a vehicle body.
• Cut and fabricate materials such as steel, aluminium, timber and fibreglass and with the use of hand and power tools and affix them to frameworks to form a vehicle body.
• Cutting, shaping and grinding sheet metal and fibreglass to create panels.
• Attaching axles, suspension assemblies, steering columns and brakes.
• Installing components and trim such as door handles, locks, hinges and rubber seals.
• Carrying out alterations to chassis in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Fitting mechanical components such as winches, cranes and hoists.
• Spray painting of components and vehicle bodies.
• Installation of electrical components.

Full Time hours: (38 ordinary hours per week + 287hrs guaranteed overtime per annum)
Hourly Rate - $29.50
Annual Salary - $70991.75 + Super
