We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team and lead our Italian restaurant to new heights.

Francesco’s Osteria is a family run restaurant specialising in authentic Venetian cuisine and tapas style Venetian street food, specialising also in vegetarian, gf, plant based dishes.

As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Italian restaurant. You will work closely with the kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and management to ensure exceptional service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties include:
analysing and evaluating current systems of operation
developing solutions to organisational problems
liaising with clients to develop and maintain a satisfactory relationship
conferring with Chef to plan kitchen operations and daily menus
overseeing kitchen operations, including hiring and dismissing staff
overseeing the organisation of rosters, maintaining records of stock, ordering food and supplies
organising floor plan and daily booking sheet,
inspecting the dining areas, kitchen and storage facilities for cleanliness to ensure health requirements are met
checking quality of foods and undertaking portion control of food
receiving and recording telephone reservations
Answering email requests for catering and functions
greeting guests and offering hospitality
overseeing and coordinating planning for special functions
contributing to the development of marketing plans & amp; overseeing promotional campaigns
monitoring customer service
dealing with any complaints made by patrons or staff
providing induction and organising ongoing training to staff in:
o customer service
o bar and waiting skills
o sales techniques
o understanding the menu - names and ingredients of food
o quality standards
o occupational health, safety and welfare/hygiene
o cross cultural communication
Providing daily supervision of staff.
liaising with group training companies in order to recruit suitable apprentices and trainees
Supporting employees undertaking external studies in hospitality
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local community partners.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Formal Qualifications in any one of the following disciplines: hospitality, business, or management (or) at least 2 years demonstrated experience as a manager
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work without supervision,
Ability to supervise and train others,
Demonstrated experience in hospitality,
Experience in kitchen operations an advantage
A solid grounding in Italian food and wine knowledge and in particular regional cuisine including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, is highly desirable.

Salary range $70,000 - $75,000
