We are Mansys Pty Ltd, the Recruitment Consultants. Our client, Emilio’s Ristorante is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking chef. We currently have position available in King Street, Warners Bay, NSW 2282
The position requires an experienced, enthusiastic, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about his work and skilled in the preparation of authentic Italian cuisine.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage bookings with catering for 100 diners.
• Ability to plan and price menu items.
• Create and develop menu concepts which meet and strengthen business ambitions.
• Prepare, cook & serve meals to an exceptionally high standard.
• Maintain a high degree of safety in the kitchen.
• Following food & occupational health & safety procedures.
• Check all kitchen instruments regularly, ensure they are cleaned at the end of each shift.
• Ability to work under extreme pressure, while ensuring all food is prepared to sanitation guidelines.
• Support and guide staff within the kitchen including rostered apprentices.
• Estimating food labour costs & negotiate supply orders.
• Co-ordinate stocktakes.
• Conduct weekly team meetings.
• Prepare & present weekly management reports.
• Make recommendations to the Manager regarding staffing levels and the composition of staff necessary to successfully achieve required objectives.
• Rostering staff in conjunction with the manager.
• Manage all aspects of OH&S compliance.
• Develop and maintain staff morale.
Must Have
• Certificate IV in Hospitality
• At least Two years of experience as Chef
• Attention to detail.
• Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Maintain a neat & professional appearance.
Hours of Work:
The specified working hours for this position full time (Tuesday – Sunday).
Salary
Between A$70,000 to A$80,000 P.A. plus superannuation.
