On behalf of our client, Car Giant WA, we are advertising. Car Giant WA are looking for Light Vehicle Mechanics to join their team based in Jandakot a on a full-time basis.
The Light Vehicle Mechanic maintains, tests and repairs petrol/diesel engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles like transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.
Tasks for the position:
• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check vehicle parts
• Repair as well as replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
• Conduct scheduled maintenance services, like oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission standards
• Reassemble engines and parts after repairs
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired to ensure performance standards are met
• Diagnose and test parts using computers
Qualifications and Experience:
• Cert III or relevant Trade qualification – (essential)
• Minimum 3 years previous experience as a Mechanic
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management skills
• Current Driver’s Licence
Salary $70,000pa
