OBJECTIVE: A Warehouse Storeperson plays an important role in ensuring effective, productive day to day smooth operations of all warehouse functions that meets the demands of a diverse and growing business. Without compromise, the role must maintain a safe working environment. The main responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing goods, picking and packing orders, and helping to maintain a well-organised warehouse are key successes to this role. The Warehouse Storeperson will work with all departments within the business, liaising with internal office staff, transport companies, suppliers and most importantly, customers. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Execution of normal operational warehouse activities from receiving to dispatch, monitoring and leading logistical processes including loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, order staging, delivery, packing, and stocking. 2. Checking incoming goods against invoices and inspecting them to ensure they are free of damage. 3. Sorting items and placing them in the correct location using warehousing machinery, such as forklifts, to lift, place and remove items on high racks, shelves or in bins 4. Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies 5. Manage activities for Stocktake and cycle counts 6. Responsible for warehouse equipment maintenance and service 7. Monitor and order warehouse packaging and other consumables 8. Ensure a high level of compliance with OH&S requirements and enhances an organized and clean working environment. 9. Develop and contribute to 'best in class' processes within the warehouse. 10. Maintain strong relationships with internal & external customers to ensure high standards of service delivery. 11. Be prepared to assist in the local assembly area to manufacture all products from raw material preparation, component assembly to final product assembly ensuring to meet the production schedule as required. 12. Perform alternate duties in all other areas of manufacturing as required. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of three years' experience in a similar position.
A forklift ticket is essential.
You must have intimate knowledge of warehouse operations, particularly in an
environment that handles a pick and pack of a large variety of products.
Worked in team environment
Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively with affected parties.
Demonstrate a strong, positive energy and enthusiasm that promotes a strong
motivated team environment.
Exposure to ERP warehouse operations.
Exposure to OH&S and understanding of safe work practices.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (E.G. SPECIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL, PERSONALITY):

To be a team player within a team environment, being flexible and willing to work in
any area.
Proven time management skills and the ability to establish routines, effective
planning skills, and consistently meeting demanding deadlines.
Plenty of initiative and "can do" attitude, "hands-on" in style.
Detail conscious, well organized and able to prioritize being naturally results
focused.
Very good written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise with internal
staff.
Proactive and continuous improvement oriented.
Ability to work unsupervised.
