Our state-of-the-art power station and desalination plant are among the largest in the State. The Opportunity CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an Operator Maintainer Technician to work in our Power Plant in Cape Preston. The power station is a huge combined-cycle, gas-fired plant with 480 megawatt design capacity – it has seven gas turbines, three steam turbines and six heat recovery generators, meaning it generates 40% less emissions than an open-cycle plant while producing enough power to supply a major regional town.
