New opportunity for Application Developers Your new role As a Senior Applications Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining code for our clients Online Systems. You'll work closely with business users to understand requirements and ensure the development of fit-for-purpose reports and products. Additionally, you'll contribute to maturing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and provide system support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
Architect, implement, manage, and support high-performance, scalable J2EE applications on Linux platforms.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, events, and artifacts to foster a great development culture and agile program.
Contribute to the entire software lifecycle, from requirements elicitation to post-production support. Collaborate closely with product owners, network and database administrators, testers, and analysts to deliver high-quality, satisfying products.
Build effective working relationships with product owners across business and technical domains, promoting the benefits of AFSA's online services.
Embrace domain-driven design, test-driven development, maintainable code practices, and code reviews. Prioritise security, accessibility, and open standards while refining technical implementations.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to APS managers and colleagues through mechanisms such as SOPs, WIs, manuals, and technical specifications.
What you'll need to succeed
Australian Citizenship with a Baseline Security Clearance
Proven track record in architecting, implementing, and managing high-performance, scalable Spring Boot or J2EE applications on Linux platforms
Proficiency in:
Java
Service-Oriented Architecture / Web Services (SOAP / REST)
