APS6 Financial Accountant

10th April, 2024 Approach Consulting is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Federal Government client.  Working in the Finance, Procurement, and Assurance Team as a Financial Accountant, you will report to the Assistant Director. In this role you'll perform finance and procurement activities, collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality services. Key Responsibilities: Perform financial operations and accounting functions using MS Excel and SAP. Lead financial operations such as general ledger management and reconciliations. Prepare accurate financial reports and assist in developing annual financial statements. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on operational matters. Maintain asset registers and facilitate end-of-month closing processes. Undertake ad hoc projects like financial report automation and data analytics. Required Skills: Knowledge of financial policies and frameworks. Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) like SAP or CBMS. Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related fields; CA/CPA desirable. Eligibility: Baseline security…
