About Us: The Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) is an independent statutory office accountable to the Victorian Parliament which has been established to protect the rights and enhance the position of people with disabilities in Victoria. The Advice and Response Program is a key OPA program and currently comprises the Intake and Triage, Advice and Education, Investigations, and the Medical Treatment Decisions teams. The Safeguarding and Individual Advocacy team will form part of the Advice and Response group.
