Assistant Payroll Manager Needed! Location: Newcastle outskirts Responsibilities: Assist the Payroll Manager in processing pays for 1000 employees across 11 entities and 23 sites. Handle complex payroll tasks like termination figures, backpays, and taxation calculations. Respond to stakeholder enquiries, including emails from Senior Executives and Business Managers. Prepare reports for pay cycles, audits, and reviews as needed. Manage the payroll diary, inbox, and fortnightly pay preparations. Mentor and support the payroll team, fostering a positive team culture. Offer technical advice on payroll matters to senior staff and Business Managers. Ensure workplace compliance with policies, including sexual harassment prevention. Qualifications & Skills: Active involvement in a local Christian Church. Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or 3 years in a payroll role. Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
