Ability to work within the Christian ethos and framework of Carinity
Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Demonstrated clinical skills and recent experience working within Aged Care
Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead and train subordinate staff
Knowledge of Aged Care documentation requirements with ability to conduct ACFI
assessments
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to
communicate with the elderly, staff and management
Compassion and a genuine interest in caring for the elderly, supporting their dignity
and independence
Demonstrated ability in problem resolution and decision making that maintains quality
customer focussed service delivery
Experience in contributing to the development and achievement of team goals,
working as a supportive team member within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
Proficient in the use of appropriate computer programs, including Microsoft Office
Understanding of and ability to manage computer documentation systems and ACFI
systems for data entry of information e.g. progress notes
Understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation and Audit processes
Current Police Certificate or willingness to obtain
Desirable:
Relevant tertiary qualifications/certificates in Nursing or Aged Care
Current First Aid Certificate or working towards same
Current Driver’s Licence and own transport
