O’Shea’s Royal Hotel has been the focal point of social, sporting and community life for Goondiwindi for 50 years. We pride ourselves for being the Friendliest Pub in Goondiwindi. We are looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Chef to join our team and be part of the amazing business. In this role, you will work with a strong team delivering a high-quality product.
Location: 48 Marshall St Goondiwindi QLD 4390
Salary range: $70000 -$85000 per annum
Role: Full-time
Key responsibilities include:
Regularly checking food ingredients to ensure quality and freshness
Monitoring food preparation at all times to ensure consistency of quality
Highlighting any issues with regards to food preparation to the management
Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock
Designing special menu and presentation for special events
Inspecting food preparation procedures to ensure hygienic and efficient food preparation practices
Ensuring food meets exceptional standard for both quality and quantity
Supervising and coordinating the work of kitchen staff and training staff whenever necessary
Maintaining and monitoring compliance to the Food Safety Practices and Hygiene Regulations
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a Chef within a similar environment
Skills and Competencies:
A passion for food
Excellent food preparation and presentation skills
Excellent communication and time management skills
Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety regulations
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Reliable and hardworking
