About the School:
A FULL TIME PERMANENT PDHPE TEACHER is required within a Catholic co-educational secondary school in the Hills District to teach students in Years 7 to 12 and starting Term 2 ideally.

The school prides itself on nurturing their students to become responsible global citizens and they employ cutting-edge technologies, incorporate insights from forefront educational research and guide students to develop creative and critical thinking skills, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork.

The school has a close-knit community, family atmosphere, where parents, students, and staff come together as one. Offering an effective Induction Program, practical support for new scheme teachers, a supportive Leadership Team and ongoing professional development.

They offer customised learning experiences tailored to meet the unique needs of every student. Instruction and learning activities spanning all disciplines foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and independent learning.

Key responsibilities include:

Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of your students;
Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment while implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
Ensure timely assessment task notifications according to the assessment schedule.
Maintain meticulous records of student achievements.
Bring a wealth of pedagogical knowledge and insight into how students engage with the subject matter, enhancing the learning and teaching process.
Embrace creativity and constructive collaboration within and beyond the school community while setting high, attainable goals for both yourself and your students.


Requirements:

The ability or willingness to teach VET fitness
To successful applicant will be engaging and innovative and inspire a love of learning in students
Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check
Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience
Have recognised Tertiary Educational Qualifications
Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
