ABOUT THE ROLE
As an integral part of the Centre’s MAHAN (Multicultural Allied Health and Nursing) services, the speech pathologist will contribute to supporting consumers from participants of MSC’s Disability Services Program and Aged Care Program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the speech pathologist will be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of Children and families through exceptional speech pathology services. They pride lies in offering a distinctive array of tools and programs designed to support individuals in their communication and speech development journey, complemented by therapeutic- based professional services.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Deliver a broad range of therapy services to a diverse caseload including standardised and non-standardised assessment for clients with a range of speech and language difficulties
Conduct diagnostic assessment and reports for children and adolescents in capacity of speech therapist as part of multidisciplinary team
Provide clinical feedback to families and other stakeholders/referring agencies as required
Providing assessment and intervention for children or Clients facing various communication challenges
Working with team to positively improve any services being delivered. Be heard
Other:
Perform other duties as directed by their line manager and/or CEO.
ESSENTIAL:
Completed a recognised tertiary qualification in Speech pathology or related field.
Full SPA registration as Speech Pathologist
Professional experience in the relevant field as Speech Pathology
Unrestricted work permit
Compliance with relevant state government health mandates
Proven ability to establish meaningful relationships with a variety of stakeholders and be able to demonstrate and validate repeat referral sources
Experience delivering services in NDIS / Community specialty area is an added advantage
Valid WA Driver’s License
National Police Clearance and Working with Children's check.
COVID-19 vaccination certificate
DESIRABLE:
Fluency in a language other than English;
Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.
