The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to join our team in Kurnell. As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in the mechanical maintenance of the Sydney Desalination Plant Water Treatment Facility.
This position has been designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
In this role you will gain broad exposure to a variety of responsibilities including:
Provide effective and timely first-line routine and breakdown maintenance services.
Assist with the establishment and management of maintenance programs.
Provide support to plant operations ,projects and management of assets.
Build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships.
Participate in a safety-first and continuous improvement culture.
Requirements
Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow Veolia values
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safety and following established procedures.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Valid driver's license is preferred, but not required.
