Direct Freight Express is a national leading transport and logistics company and has been in operation for over twenty-eight (28) years.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Fitter and Turner to conduct scheduled maintenance of the automatic sortation and conveyor systems onsite in Campbellfield.

The position will include inspections and maintenance across a wide variety of depot equipment including, but not limited to:
• Read drawings and understand and comprehend specifications on blue print.
• Carry out accurate measurement of metal components and prepare for cutting.
• Cut and bend metal material according to drawing.
• Fit and assemble metal parts to construct equipment.
• Make parts as per the specification and fit parts to machinery
• Make and fit parts to pumps, engines, conveyor systems
• Make and fit parts to hydraulic and pneumatic driven machines
• Operate lathes, milling machines and Operate drilling machines
In order to be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:
• Be Trade qualified (electrical or mechanical fitter) or have 2 years Trades Assistant experience in a similar role
• Document, record and track servicing and maintenance requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to WHS policies, procedures and regulations
• Reliable and honest with a great work ethic
• Ability to work under time sensitive situations
• Time management and prioritisation skills
• Willingness to be trained with new equipment as the business evolves and grows
• Ability to diagnose & action faults
• Able to work within a team environment and unsupervised
Wage range $60,000-$80,000 per annum plus superannuation, penalty rates, ongoing incentives, above Award rates will be offered according to experience
