Are you looking for your new Financial Accountant opportunity?
This Financial Accounting opportunity allows you to be part of a high performing collaborative team, reporting into the Corporate Reporting Manager. You will provide support to all aspects of the finance function, protect and improve the financial well being of the organization. Specifically, you will support financial decision making by collecting, analyzing and reporting financial data.
The successful candidate will be CA/ CPA qualified and ideally have experience working in a large corporate environment. Those who come from a big4 background will also be considered.
This full time permanent role is based in St Leonards (close to public transport) and is offering a salary of $100,000 - $120,000 + super depending on experience. Flexible working is provided, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
The key responsibilities for the Financial Accountant role include:
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including the preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations with a SOX environment.
Month end reconciliations.
Assisting with preparation of annual statutory financial statements and supporting the year-end audit process.
Preparation of payroll and operational expenses workpapers and journal entries of the monthly financial accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, etc.
Analysis of management accounting for leases, fixed assets, property related accruals, etc.
Preparation of financial information for FBT returns, support income tax return preparations.
Contribute and drive process improvements.
Desired skills and experience:
CA / CPA qualified would be desired
3+ years of financial accounting experiences
Ideally have worked in a large commercial environment with hands on experienced
Ability to pick up new systems quickly and intermediate excel skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
