Indian Flavours Restaurant in Byford is looking for a full time Cook. We at Indian Flavours Byford transformed traditional Indian dishes in to a healthier and more sustainable version.
Duties:
Preparation of menu items from the hot kitchen where meals are steamed, fried, grilled and sautéed including lamb, beef, chicken and seafood Items.
Examine food to ensure quality.
Cooking food and adjusting the seasoning during the cooking time.
Portioning food items prior and after cooking.
Storing, preparing and cooking food by freezing, refrigerating and preserving methods.
Monitoring the food safety program to ensure the compliance of the local authorities.
Assembly and presenting of food for Ala Carte.
Responsible for food orders with suppliers.
Supervising the storage of stock in appropriate areas prior to preparation.
Liaising with customers.
Explain and enforce hygiene regulations.
Mandatory Requirements
Relevant Qualification- Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery
Minimum 2 years of experience
Strong organisational and time management skills
Bring a can-do attitude to work every day.
