What are we looking for in a suitable candidate:
- Demonstrating outstanding commercial acumen, you will adeptly foster relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders within CPM, swiftly navigating the landscape to capitalize on existing industry insights and contacts. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the efficacy of our field sales solution, ensuring that we continually deliver maximum value to our clients.
- By applying a creative mindset, you'll be empowered to challenge existing norms and push boundaries to uncover fresh opportunities. Collaborating closely with our clients and key retailers, you'll co-create innovative strategies aimed at delivering exceptional outcomes for both parties. Your ingenuity will drive the evolution of our approach, ensuring that we continuously exceed expectations and foster mutually beneficial relationships with our clients and their customers.
- An expert across our key channels of focus (primarily Grocery and then Wholesale and Convenience), knowing what drives the key customer groups behaviour and how CPM & the client can unlock opportunities to deliver joint value.
- Strong networking & relationship-building across the client Leadership team, multi-functional sales team, field teams and internal business partners across CPM, to ensure that joint sales and execution ambition is fulfilled.
- Using field and data insight to support key client teams with recommendations to aid complex negotiations and joint business plan discussions.
- Proactively work across divisions and accounts to collaborate with the various stakeholders, proactively seeking out and sharing best practice with others.
- To assist when required and use your expertise and experience with new business pitches, helping to create pitch documents and tender responses for both existing and new clients.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong customer sales experience, within an FMCG environment – Grocery / Off Trade experience is essential having previously been operational at a National Account Manager/ Controller level before
- An ability to build relationships with customers, supported by proven negotiations skills.
- Experienced in engaging cross functionally with Senior Leaders with a previous responsibility for the deployment and management of substantial financial budgets.
- Highly numerical with experience in development of key client/ customer propositions and you will have a comprehensive understanding and previous delivery of key commercial measures.
- Able to structure and present compelling commercial propositions with your excellent verbal communication and organisational skills.
- Strong resilience and desire to drive continuous improvements and operate in a changing environment.
