PERSOLKELLY are in partnership with a client based in Western Sydney who are looking for an experienced Trade Marketing Specialist to join their team.
About the role
Reporting to the National Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a national B2B marketing strategy and working closely with internal marketing, product, and sales teams to deliver the overarching goal of increasing sales and brand awareness in the Australian market.
The role is largely focused on achieving channel specific objectives that will ultimately deliver customer acquisition, market penetration and profitable growth for the brand. This includes assisting in the stewardship of strategies for new and existing product, supporting the sales team in nurturing prospective / existing customer relationships, and planning /executing a schedule of compelling promotions and sales activations in relevant markets.
Your responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Provide high level support in ideation, planning & budgeting, production, and implementation of all client activities, including point of sales materials and promotions.
Assists in building sales promotions, forecasting, costing of deals, planning and product communication.
Collaborate with the sales teams to turn the "selling stories" into sales tools to effectively present the brands, the products, and the marketing initiatives to their customers.
Supports in planning and execution of key sales / trade events.
Reading and reporting on analytics for market activities, offering recommendations and forecasts based on Sales, Margin and Expenses
Assists with development and creation of point of sales material (end to end production including budget, logistics, distribution, assortment
Supports sales team in developing and executing marketing initiatives to achieve sales and budget targets.
Essential Requirements:
Experience in B2B trade marketing.
Strong commercial understanding with the ability to work with data analytics, pricing/margin analysis, sales forecasting, and price modelling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop design briefs for both internal teams and external agencies.
Flexible and adaptable in approach with the ability to work across multiple projects and respond to multiple priorities at any one time.
Possess a 'solution driven' mindset and independent in problem solving ability.
Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Suite of programs.
Familiarity working with external agencies, business partners and cross-functional teams.
