Vet 2 You have an exciting opportunity for a Certificate IV qualified Veterinary nurse to join our amazing team!
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement, blood collection & analysis, anaesthesia, and care of hospitalised patients
Provision of high-standard patient and customer care at all times
Maintaining clean and organised clinical workspaces
Perform sedation and anaesthesia for various procedures
Assisting with reception and administration tasks as required
Educating pet owners on nutrition, husbandry and preventative health care
We are looking for a nurse with:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
Experience in emergency and triage
An approachable personality and strong team ethic
The ability to support junior staff members and lead by example
A high level of organisational skills
Ability to work independently in a self-driven manner, whilst also encouraging teamwork
Ability to deliver excellent patient care and customer service at all times
Excellent communication skills, even in high-pressure and stressful situations
A genuine love of animals and the veterinary profession
A commitment to ongoing training and professional development
