The Role:
A great opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to establish strategic category direction, identification of growth opportunities, leading customer engagements, and providing critical insights into key projects and commercial decisions.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop category vision, articulating clear growth drivers to inform three-year plans.
Manage and own the category review process including category growth opportunities, market analysis and portfolio recommendations
Undertake analysis to create compelling category focussed business reviews & recommendations that meet the need of brand, consumer, shopper & retailer.
Create and deliver category sell stories to external customers that link internal initiatives to external category growth opportunities.
Support the commercialisation of innovation through the stage & gate process
Lead cross functional go to market activation meetings
Support Revenue Growth management pricing recommendations
Deliver actionable reports that provide clarity to market dynamics, brand performance, competitor intelligence and financial implications.
About You:
Category Manager with 5+ years’ experience within the FMCG industry
Strong understanding of Category Management principles
Ability to articulate and write an integrated category and channel strategy.
Confident presenter with proven communication and negotiation skills
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
Highly proficient with data programs Nielsen, Quantium, Synergy, Excel
Understanding of shelf management systems and processes will help you within this role.
