Renowned for its personalized customer service, Newbery Chemists provides prescription dispensing, health screenings, immunizations, wellness programs, and a selection of cosmetics and skincare products, all delivered by knowledgeable pharmacists.
The Role
They are seeking a full time Pharmacist to join their team. This is for a full time position at an annual salary at $80,000 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
· Preparing and checking medication prescribed to the patient
· Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient
· Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions
· Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy
· Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction
· Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery
· Offering screening programmes for common ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol
· Recruiting, hiring and training staff including overseeing Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants
· Working with the pharmaceutical staff to maintain a clean, customer-friendly workplace
The requirements
· Bachelor degree qualifications in Pharmacy
· Unrestricted AHPRA registration
· At least 4 years’ experience in fulfilling similar responsibility in a commercial pharmacy setting
· Attention to detail and precision in record keeping
· Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
· The ability to prioritise workload and adapting to change in work requirements
· Good interpersonal skills
