Are you a skilled Desktop and Service Desk Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to work with a leading financial organisation?
We're currently seeking a Level 2 Engineer for a 12- month contract.
Your new role
As a Desktop support engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving desktop and application-related issues to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot a wide range of issues, including software/application support, network connectivity, and desktop hardware support.
Manage Active Directory processes, O365 administration, and audio-visual devices management.
Actively participate in various upcoming projects within the organisation.
Serve as an escalation point for junior Desktop Support Engineers, providing guidance and support as necessary.
Collaborate closely with other IT support teams and external vendors to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
Create new user accounts and manage access and permissions.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in desktop and application support.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (M365), Active Directory, and Azure application support.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) would be advantageous.
