About the business and the role, Skills and experience Competent PRESSURE WELDER
• Assembles, welds and repairs pressure vessels and pipes to relevant standards.
• skills in general steel fabrication/ MIG and TIG welding experience. Must be able to read ad interpret drawings to determine job requirements
• selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Excellent communication & organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail, to all policies and procedures, OHS awareness and understanding is required
• Happy to work within a team environment or autonomously.
• Strong work ethic and punctuality and reliability is a must.
• With a Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience, with an Australian recognised trade certification or relevant experience
• You must be physically fit, self-motivated, and punctual and possess a positive quick learning attitude.
Remuneration/Salary $60,000 to $80,000– per annum, depending on skills and experience
Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
