Raw Hire provides long term hire of a variety of mine spec equipped vehicles, buses and trucks, ready to service your operation’s needs. They are looking for a Motor Mechanic to join their team in Karratha on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will:
• Contributes significantly to the maintenance, services, and emergency breakdown services for our fleet.
• Experience in auto electrical work (competency in fault finding)
• Basic welding experience desirable
• Competent in brake repairs & diagnosis and suspension repairs & diagnosis
• Understanding of Hydraulic systems is desirable.
• Sound verbal communication skills to relay information to staff and clients
• Good comprehension of written instructions in English (able to perform pre-hires and off-hires)
• Truck repair experience preferred or commitment to learn.
• Panel and Paint experience desirable
• Service vehicles in a timely manner to quality and standards in accordance with company policy and manufacturer compliance.
• General maintenance and servicing of vehicles
• Reporting safety concerns on vehicles
• Present serviced vehicles as per company procedure in line with internal quality assurance.
• Assist with emergency break downs in liaison with on-call staff
• Provides roadside assistance where required
• Maintain?a clean, organized work area?to the Raw Hire Standard.??
• Take personal responsibility for upholding standards relating to presentation, property, hygiene, including prompt reporting of loss, damage, or maintenance needs.?
• All repairs and maintenance carried out safely
• All repairs and maintenance carried out in accordance with manufacturers requirements
• Taking responsibility?of reporting?hazards and risks that may cause harm or injury and adhering to WH&S policies and practices.??
• Ability to think on feet and take initiative
• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
• Ability or desire to take on leadership opportunities
• General operational duties as required
• Be able to work under pressure, work safely and in a hot environment
• Oversees the ordering of parts and maintains inventory
Skill & Experience Required:
• Minimum of two years relevant experience
• Qualified motor mechanic (Australian equivalent)
• Previous experience within a service department or mechanical workshop / commercial vehicles and trucks
• Current C Class and HR driver’s license
• Basic computing skills desirable or commitment to learn
Salary from $63,000 per annum
