The Senior Commercial Proposal manager is responsible for the development and implementation of a strong Commercial Risk & Inquiry to Order (ITO) process to grow commercial capabilities and efficiency in Frontline to enhance competitiveness of the Energy Storage Incubator. You will be responsible for all aspects of proposal management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, annotation of specification compliance/deviation, scope development, transactional pricing, customer negotiations, and issue resolution.

Essential Responsibilities
Implement the ComOps process & function ensuring development of consistent ITO operations fully adherent to GE policies, processes & metrics… response time, hit/win rate, OE, CM
Coordinate the proposal preparation and related strategies and risk mitigation plans to approvals, ensuring leadership alignment at all levels to obtain Go/Bid Submission sign-off and governance for ITO deals lifecycle
Participates to the proposal development strategy, process implementation and performance measures for the team of commercial and technical proposal analysts.
Ensure the right offering is delivered to the customer at the right price and right time.
Coordinate repeatable customer offerings and processes globally
Operates the Deal Desk to drive early engagement / strategy development w/ regions & product teams
Ensures performance & effectiveness measurement through appropriate metrics; takes corrective action, based on trend analysis, proposal post-mortems & customer feedback
Ensures seamless hand-over of POs + signed contracts to OTR
Drives empowerment through localization of Ts&Cs, functional expertise across-EC/GE, and people capability development
Establishes training, on-the-job coaching & mentoring to ensure an optimal defined level of proficiency and knowledge of commercial teams in contract risk and in negotiation skills
Supports the design and drives implementation of proposal standards and new commercial models to increase orders volume and market reach, e.g. Digital Thread/Services
Contributes to quality initiatives across ITR to drive process rigor, simplification and customer outcome through sales & bidding as well as margin improvement measures
Conducts change mgt. process to redefine current commercial processes, to reduce cycle time + costs, improve service quality; drives EE’s accountability to agreed/implemented changes.
Interfaces with all functions across regions and products such as Sales, Tendering/units, Legal, Commercial Finance & OTR teams to enhance successful commercial strategies and solutions
Maintains knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions and customer base
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
Minimum 10 years of Sales and/or Commercial Operations Management experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Energy industry
Strong didactical contractual & negotiation skills
Self-sufficiency and ability to program manage
Ability to think strategically and be operationally rigorous
Change agent with strong services acumen
Capability to navigate through a horizontal organization
Proven interpersonal skills
