Bermil Aerospace are seeking enthusiastic and talented engineers to join our business. We currently have Permanent, Contract & Casual Aircraft Maintenance Engineer positions in all trades – Mechanical, Avionics & Structures available in various locations around Australia working on both Commercial and Defence aircraft.

Typical Aircraft Maintenance trade tasks
• Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary motors and engine accessories, electrical systems, and subassemblies of aircraft frames
• Installing electrical circuits and equipment
• Testing aircraft communication equipment, aircraft instrumentation and electronic systems using electronic testing equipment and specialised test apparatus
• Replacing and testing aircraft oxygen system components
• Assembling parts and subassemblies of aircraft frames
• Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines, aircraft frames and mechanical systems
• Maintaining records of action taken
• Manufacture aircraft electrical, instrument and radio hardware components
More specific responsibilities, you will:
• Be responsible to the Team Leader or Support Team Leader (or relevant leader) to carry out tasks as directed, including scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance
• Ensure that all maintenance and technical documentation or data used during maintenance is authorised for use and complies with the clients governing regulations
• Correctly and promptly record details of work performed on the correct documents, and if required, to gain certification of the performance of such work in the required timeframes
• Ensure that all appropriate documentation for engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies and publication amendments are incorporated as directed
• Report to the Team Leader or Support Team Leader (or relevant leader) all defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors and unserviceability's as they arise
• Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorised level
• Initiate quality, non-conformance or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed
• Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and operating in the correct manner in accordance with authorised technical data
• Ensure hangar and/or Workshop duties are performed as required by local business operating manuals, procedures and policies
• A commitment to safety
Essential Skill Level of Applicants for this opportunity will have:
• Certificate IV Aeroskills (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) (Mechanical, Avionic or Structures)
• A CASA, EASA or DASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License.
• Previous experience in a similar role, within Line, workshop or hangar environment
• The ability to work within a team environment
• High level of communications skills
• Current Driver’s license
• Effective communication capability, verbal & written
Client dependant requirements
• The ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearances
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Undertake Police background checks
• Undergo Drug and Alcohol tests
• International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may be applicable for Defence roles and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for these roles.

Salary Range - (Site dependent) $80,000 -$100,000 PA
