Governance and Compliance Officer within State Governement Your new company
Governance and Compliance Officer opportunity within Queensland Government Departments. Initial contract 1 April - 30 June 2024 (likely extension).
Your new role
The Governance and Compliance officer will be required to undertake the following duties as directed by the Project Manager:
Assist with monitoring of activities and milestones across the project delivery. Tracking of deliverables across the work packages within the project.
Establish and maintain project artefact templates and maintain their currency.
Maintaining key program artefacts such as the master schedule, project governance documents etc.
Management of project registers such as risks, issues, decisions etc. Contribute to identifying and monitoring work package and project risks and issues.
Assist in the preparation of reporting and coordination of packs and submissions
Demonstrate analytical skills, collating information and preparing documents to assist in achieving the project goals.
Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed
Exceptional stakeholder communication ability and experience within complex stakeholder environments.
Experience in project coordination/management and planning within IT environments.
Prince2 Project Management training or equivalent experience in a project environment.
Qualifications or experience in Agile Methodologies.
Previous experience working in government agencies would be advantageous.
