The Opportunity:
As a senior member of the maritime engineering team you will be responsible for technical oversight and assurance incorporating configuration control and material support. This is a critical function that will cross all areas of the sustainment program. You will advise on issues of technical integrity, engineering deviations and complex engineering risk. Working alongside the Principal Engineer your role will be to mitigate risk and be a compliance representative.
These are permanent opportunities based in Sydney.
Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Actively seek efficiencies and business practices to reduce the cost of ownership and risk to support maritime objectives through engineering excellence.
- Make recommendations on engineering decisions, including the assessment of deviations and waivers and the development of associated risk assessments, the identification and implementation of obsolescence solutions.
- Provide general oversight of technical assurance program.
- Provide support for development, review and update of engineering processes.
- Provide technical support and assistance to the Maritime program at large.
Baseline defence security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this role
