The role
This is a hands on role, with challenges that vary day to day. As the Project Manager you will manage 20+ medium size quick turn-around projects at any one time with a collective value of $3m+ pa. The successful applicant will be able to manage the following aspects of the role:
- Lead and direct all resources including performing site surveys & commissioning.
- Optimise contractual obligations and profit.
- Strategize, execute, and oversee projects, including design, procurement, and construction functions.
- Conduct regular progress and cost reviews, ensuring project alignment with objectives.
- Highlight and escalate issues in advance of challenges occurring.
- Coordinate client communications, ensuring project completion within set parameters.
- Identify and propose solutions for project challenges, including resourcing issues.
- Oversee project aspects: programming, cost, time, quality control, purchasing, and contracts.
- Hands on management at a site level - including stock management, forecasting (occasionally required to pick, pack and deliver stock to site) & programming or commissioning at site.
About you:
- Experience in the security or related industry preferred.
- Developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with customers, sub-contractors and systems team.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills with 3 years’ experience.
- Hands on approach at a site level (ex installer or technician preferred)
- Sound knowledge of electrical installations / retail construction
- Previous experience within the construction industry
- Established Computing (application) skills including word, excel.
