Finance Officer Your new company
Hays is partnered with a successful business group in Geelong within the medical industry seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Officer for an ongoing full-time role.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role is broken into a mix of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking and Office Administration.
Accounts Receivable: Manage AR in an accurate and timely manner, bringing the overdue to appropriate attention promptly
Accounts Payable: Timely entry of invoices, particularly stock, to ensure smooth operational processes at store level
Banking: Perform daily banking administrative tasks and assist Financial Accountants as required for completion of the monthly reconciliation.
Office Administration: Be responsive to administrative tasks in support of the operational requirements of the business. Such as assisting in collation and ordering of uniforms, consumables, one-off stock etc.
Any other tasks as reasonably directed.
What you'll need to succeed
Skills:
Effective written and verbal communication skills
With the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels
Aptitude for working with and adapting to changing information and digital technology
Ability to plan, coordinate, prioritise and monitor my own workflows
Strong skill in the use of ERP and other business systems and portals
Attributes:
Attention to detail& commitment to accuracy
Demonstrable aptitude for self-direction, motivation and continuous improvement
Committed to training staff to high levels of performance
Collaborative

Experience and qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in a financial environment
