Childhood and Youth Planning - Team Lead required for a busy Local Government on a permanent basis Your new company Hays are partnering with a large Local Government in the Perth Metro region who are looking for a Childhood and Youth Planning Team Lead to join their Community Development division on a permanent basis. This is a really exciting opportunity for a leader with prior experience in youth planning. Your new role The Childhood and Youth Planning Team Lead is responsible for developing the team and implementing strategically focused childhood and youth development actions and projects. Key aspects of this position include:
Develop, implement and evaluate community plans, policies and initiatives targeted focused towards children and youth capacity building
Develop strategic relationships with all relevant stakeholders such as Government agencies, industry bodies. Service providers and community
Act as an advocate for community-based initiatives
Support the implementation of the Councils Community Development plans
Create a strong team culture, empowering team to be accountable and achieve key deliverables
Prepare strategic reports and papers as required What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working within a Team Lead/Management capacity
Experience working in childhood and youth development, community development or project management
Confidence in coaching and developing teams
Previous experience creating strategic reports and papers on social research in children, youth, families and community
Strong negotiation skills and experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in evaluating actions, plans and initiatives What you'll get in return
